Once your short-term rental (STR) application has been approved by the Planning Department and payment has been confirmed, prepare for an inspection by the Code Enforcement Department.

The following is required:

1.  A completed self-certification that will be emailed by the Code Enforcement Department when ready for inspection.
2.  An STR exterior/identification sign that is readily visible from the public view and must contain legible information. The size of the sign must measure two square feet in area or one foot by two foot in size. Visit this link for an example.
3.  Responsible operator that can be reached at 24/7.
4.  Adequate on-site parking provided for STR guests.

Below are documents and information that must be available to STR guests:

3.  Copy of STR operational requirements
4.  Trash pickup day (rules and regulations)
5.  Copy of Riverside County Ordinances No. 847 and 927.2
6.  Copy of Good Neighbor Brochure

Once all the above steps are completed, email [email protected] with name and STR address for an inspection. A Code Enforcement Officer will visit the property to verify exterior sign is readily visible from the public view and has correct information that is legible.
