Temecula Valley Wine Country Design Guidelines - Adopted 2/2006

The Temecula Valley Wine Country Design Guideline is a critical component of the proposed community plan. The design guidelines will ensure the necessary guidance toward accomplishing a common vision for this unique community. The first phase of this effort is the adoption of the Wine Country Community Plan Streetscapes Design Guidelines, as a supplement to the existing Citrus/Vineyard Policy Area Design Guidelines. This phase is limited to streetscapes design guidance and signage program for the Rancho California Road and De Portola Road. Additional revisions to the Citrus/Vineyard Policy Area Design Guidelines will be necessary as the development of the Wine Country Community Plan progresses.

Community Vision and Concept Plans

Community Vision and Concept Plans are documents developed in conjunction with local communities in order determine the current and future needs of a community. Once these plans are created, they are used to develop implementing policy documents, design guidelines, and/or ordinances. Below are Community Vision and Concept Plans that have been developed by communities, but have yet to be included in implementing policy documents, design guidelines, and/or ordinances.

Vista Santa Rosa Land Use Concept Plan

On June 17, 2008, the Riverside County Board of Supervisors approved the proposed Vista Santa Rosa Land Use Concept Plan for inclusion in the County's 2008-09 General Plan update proposal, and to provide guidance for development proposals in Vista Santa Rosa, prior to the adoption of the GP update, expected to occur in December 2009. The VSR plan will be included in the General Plan update Environmental Impact Report and public hearings before the Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors, all expected to occur during 2009, thereby providing opportunities for public review and input, prior to its adoption with the GP update.
