REQUEST: The Environmental Impact Report pursuant to Sections 15060 and 15081 of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines, the County of Riverside has conducted an initial study and has concluded that implementation of the proposed project could have a direct or indirect impact on the environment. Accordingly, the County has determined that preparation and evaluation of an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the project is warranted. This project is being scheduled as a scoping session. The plot plan proposes to construct a Winery and Resort consisting of a hotel with 179 hotel rooms, meeting rooms, and an indoor wedding area; 12 buildings with 39 casitas; the total building square footage is 206,126 square feet with a 5,400 square foot wine tasting building; four buildings totaling 136,400 square feet with retail, a second tasting room, a champagne tasting room, a winery, a restaurant, a ball room, office space, storage; and an amphitheater. The project includes 84.5 acres of vineyards, 1.5 acres of landscaping, and 739 parking spaces.
