Notice of Intent to Adopt a Mitigated Negative Declaration (CEQ210016) and Notice of Public Hearing

This notice is to advise that the County of Riverside, as lead agency, has completed and is issuing a Notice of Intent to Adopt a Mitigated Negative Declaration (State Clearinghouse No. 2022100443) for Conditional Use Permit No. 210005 for the scope of work under “Project Information” below.

Comment Period

The public comment period for this Mitigated Negative Declaration is from Saturday, October 22, 2022, to Thursday, November 10, 2022. Any person wishing to comment on the document must submit correspondence or materials by mail or email on or before 5:00 PM (close of business) on November 10, 2022, to either of the following:

Project Information

The Project (Conditional Use Permit No. 210005) proposes the remodel and expansion of five (5) existing buildings, and the construction and/or placement of 10 new buildings for use as the “Center of Excellence” substance abuse treatment facility and wildfire research and training facility; in conjunction with the remodel of various accessory recreation facilities, placement of new landscaping (including groundcover and a variety of new trees), improvement of roads and pedestrian pathways, and new or expanded septic systems.
