The County of Riverside is annexing of the March Joint Powers Authority (MJPA) and approximately 3,800-acres of land. The County will be transferred their land use authority, Development code, and other associated documents. The MJPA, in addition to being designated as the federally recognized reuse authority for the former active duty base, has also assumed other responsibilities. Project Information
The March Air Reserve Base Area Plan (MARBAP) under General Plan Amendment No. 240093, proposes to transfer land use authority, Development Code, and other associated documents from March Joint Powers Authority (MJPA) to the County of Riverside for approximately 3,800-acres (unincorporated) portion within the March Air Reserve Base (MARB) (Exhibit B). Change of Zone No. 2400060 proposes to revise the County of Riverside’s General Plan documents where necessary for internal consistency. No land disturbance or new construction development are proposed with this project.
