The Eastern Coachella Valley Area Plan was adopted on December 31, 2009 as a part of the County of Riverside General Plan. The Area Plan details standards and policy direction specifically for the Eastern Coachella Valley and provides background and a historical context to understand issues and reasons for those specified policies. The document consists of a Land Use Plan, statistical summaries, policies, and exhibits to better plan for the future of Eastern Coachella Valley. 

Project

The County of Riverside  (GPA240002) proposes an amendment to the Eastern Coachella Valley Area Plan to remove policies and remove references to Specific Plan 385. The project is located within the Eastern Coachella Valley Area Plan boundaries of Riverside County, generally east City of La Quinta, generally south of Joshua Tree National Park, generally north of Salton Sea, and generally west of Desert Center.
