Notice of Intent to Adopt a Mitigated Negative Declaration – CEQ240002

The County of Riverside, as lead agency and in accordance with requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), has determined that CEQ240002 for the scope of work detailed herein will not have a significant effect on the environment and has recommended for adoption of a Mitigated Negative Declaration (MND). This notice is to advise the public of its ability to comment on the draft document during the timeframe noted below. 

COMMENT PERIOD

The Public Review Period for comment on the draft-final MND shall be from Wednesday, August 28, 2024, to Monday, September 16, 2024. Any person wishing to comment on the document must submit their comments in writing (either by mail or email to the information below) between the date of this notice and expiration of the Public Review Period.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The proposed Project consists of a grading permit for a 25.6 acre area on the 79.2 acre parcel for purposes of exporting approximately 184,000 cubic yards of soil from the site to an adjacent property immediately to the northwest. 

PROJECT LOCATION

One, presently vacant lot (APN 461-170-001) comprising 79.2 acres in area, located generally east of Briggs Road, north of Newport Road, south of Domenigoni Parkway, and west of La Ventana Road.
