BHR - GRADING RESTORATION PERMIT
ABOUT THE GRADING RESTORATION PERMIT

Environmental Programs Division (EPD) together with Code Enforcement and Building & Safety departments works on restoring the natural environment in Riverside County impacted by grading activities conducted without permits. Typical grading violations occur when private property owners or developers cut, fill or excavate earth, alter land forms, clear native vegetation on slope, and/or impact existing drainage conditions without a proper permit. Stop-work action on the project is then issued by the Code Enforcement and grading and biological restoration of the site may be required by Building & Safety Department and EPD. Additional fines, penalties and mitigation may be imposed by State and Federal agencies.
