ACTIONS REGARDING CANNABIS:

The Board of Supervisors convene most Tuesdays. From time to time at these meetings, the Board may consider items related to cannabis, including ordinance amendments, policy changes, reports and analyses. Additionally, items related to cannabis may also be heard by the Riverside County Planning Commission. The public is entitled to speak about items the Board or the Planning Commission are considering, including those related to cannabis.

MOTIONS AND PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS AND PLANNING COMMISSION:

Adoption of Ordinance No. 348.4423, prohibiting medical marijuana dispensaries in all zone classifications. October 17, 2006 (Item #3-54)

Adoption of Ordinance No. 348.4802, clarifying that marijuana cultivation is prohibited in all zone classifications. May 19, 2015 (Item 16-2)

Adoption of Ordinance 925, declaring cultivation to be prohibited and a public nuisance.  Also, included limited exemptions. June 2, 2015 (Item # 3-26)

Adoption of Ordinance 928, clarifying the County’s prohibition on mobile marijuana dispensaries and marijuana deliveries. December 15, 2015 (Item # 3-45)

Board workshop to discuss the Adult Use of Marijuana Act (AUMSA) – Proposition 64. March 21, 2017 (Item #18, Part 1, Part 2)

Board adopted an order initiation preparations of amendments to Ordinance No. 348, 671, 925, and 928, as well as possible additional amendments to other County ordinances, or drafting a new ordinance, to establish a regulatory framework for cannabis businesses and cannabis activities. August 29, 2017 (Item #3.7)
