Project Information

: The County of Riverside Planning Department will serve as the Lead Agency under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and will coordinate the public review of an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) that will evaluate the potential significant environmental impacts that may result from the proposed project. Glorious Land Company LLC (project proponent) is proposing to process the above referenced entitlement actions through Riverside County which proposes a master-planned community comprised of approximately 1,850 acres of a 5,000 acre site in the Shavers Valley area of Riverside County, California. Proposed land uses include a maximum of 8,490 residential units; 1.38 million square feet of non-residential uses including commercial, retail, light industrial, and public facilities; and a system of 140 acres or recreational trails and parks.  The remaining 3,100 acres of the 5,000 acre site, as well as several thousand off-site acres, would be conserved in a natural state for habitat preservation, consistent with the Coachella Valley Multiple Species Habitat Conservation Plan.

PROJECT LOCATION: The property is located within the Eastern Coachella Valley Area Plan of the Riverside County General Plan in an area known as Shavers Valley, specifically located on either side of Interstate-10 approximately eight miles east of the City of Coachella and approximately ten miles west of Chiriaco Summit with access to the project site via an existing Interstate-10 ramp at Frontage Road.
